On May 6, Tan Tieniu, Chair of Nanjing University CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), led a delegation to visit China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited(hereinafter referred to as "CASIC") and North Huachuang Technology Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NAURA") for research and discussions. Chen Ximing, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of CASIC, and Zhao Jinrong, Chairman of NAURA, attended the relevant meetings.
At CASIC, Tan Tieniu pointed out that CASIC has a clear commitment to serving the nation through technology and outstanding capabilities in technological innovation, playing an irreplaceable role in the development of China's national defense and aerospace sectors. He introduced the history and development pattern of NJU, including its "one university, two cities, four campuses" structure, as well as basic information on discipline construction, scientific research innovation, talent team building, and talent cultivation. Tan Tieniu emphasized that NJU and CASIC are both important components of the national strategic scientific and technological forces, jointly shouldering the significant mission of solving "bottleneck" issues, and that there is broad space for cooperation between the two sides. NJU has significant advantages in fundamental research and artificial intelligence, and recent breakthroughs in new engineering construction align closely with CASIC's development needs. Tan Tieniu expressed the hope that both sides would fully leverage their respective advantages to deepen cooperation in joint problem-solving, platform co-construction, talent training, and cadre training, working together to make new and greater contributions to serve the major needs of the nation.
Chen Ximing welcomed Tan Tieniu and his delegation on behalf of CASIC. He introduced the development history, industrial system, and technological breakthroughs of CASIC. Chen Ximing pointed out that CASIC has always adhered to innovation-driven principles, striving to promote breakthroughs in key core technologies. Facing major national needs, CASIC places great importance on fundamental research and the development of artificial intelligence technologies, committing to strengthening in-depth cooperation with higher education institutions and research organizations, continuously exploring new paths for the transfer and transformation of achievements. He expressed the hope that CASIC and NJU would strengthen the leading role of technological innovation, engage in close and extensive exchanges and cooperation, and jointly create a new model for university-enterprise talent cultivation, better consolidating the strong synergy of national strategic scientific and technological forces.
Zheng Hairong, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC NJU Committee, Executive Vice President of NJU and Academician of the CAS, reviewed the previous exchanges and cooperation between NJU and CASIC. He pointed out the hope that both sides could closely align with major national needs, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in deeply participating in major national scientific research projects, deepening layouts in frontier fields, jointly cultivating high-end talents, and promoting student employment, thus helping both sides achieve new leaps in development.
Luo Xisheng, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice General Manager of CASIC, pointed out that this year marks the beginning of the "15th Five-Year Plan," making it the right time for CASIC and NJU to deepen cooperation, complement each other's advantages, and explore vast opportunities. He hoped that both sides would strengthen communication and enhance understanding, forming a cooperation list and specific work docking plan to ensure the effective implementation of various cooperation matters.

Li Bin, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC NJU Committee and Assistant President of NJU, along with heads of relevant departments and colleges from the university, attended the symposium.
At NAURA, Tan Tieniu pointed out that NAURA has always adhered to industry-oriented demands, deeply engaging in fields such as semiconductor equipment, core components, and precision components, aiming to become a technological leader in the field of semiconductor basic products. In recent years, NJU has steadfastly promoted open education, comprehensively deepening university-enterprise cooperation, facilitating the integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, and accelerating the construction of a world-class university with Chinese characteristics, NJU traits, and contemporary features. Tan Tieniu expressed that there is vast cooperation space between NJU and NAURA, full of potential and promising for the future. He hopes that both sides will take this exchange symposium as a new starting point to further strengthen deep cooperation, complement each other's strengths, and work together to better serve national strategies, jointly promoting new breakthroughs in development.
Zhao Jinrong pointed out that the current development of industries such as semiconductor equipment has entered a "deep water zone," necessitating an enhancement of original innovation capabilities through collaborative innovation between industry and academia to break through key core technologies. He stated that NAURA is committed to systematically promoting university-enterprise cooperation and hopes to enhance mutual understanding with NJU, opening new paths for the integration of industry, academia, and research, and establishing a cooperation mechanism for regular communication, periodic consultations, and long-term linkage to promote more fruitful cooperation results.
Zheng Hairong systematically outlined the cooperation directions between NJU and NAURA. He expressed the hope that both sides would deepen exchanges and cooperation in joint scientific research efforts, achievement transformation and industrialization, student employment, and talent cultivation.
Li Bin introduced the history and basic development situation of NJU. He expressed the expectation for NJU and NAURA to jointly seek new development and set new examples.
Wang Na, Member of the Executive Committee of NAURA's Semiconductor Equipment Business Group and Vice President of Strategic Development, introduced the basic situation of NAURA and proposed key cooperation directions for both sides.
