On February 26-27, Nanjing University held a work review meeting for its schools and departments at the Xianlin Campus. The meeting was attended by Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Tan Zhemin, President of NJU and Academician of the CAS, who both delivered speeches.
Tan Tieniu fully affirmed the effectiveness of the meeting. He put forward advice for the work in 2026 and emphasized that 2026 is a crucial year for accelerating the construction of a world-class Nanjing University with Chinese characteristics. He encouraged everyone to continue to forge ahead and contribute to the great cause of building a strong nation and national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization.
Tan Zhemin outlined requirements for the university's work in 2026 and emphasized that 2026 is the opening year of the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" and a crucial year for Nanjing University's educational development, hoping everyone will unite and stride forward toward the goal of building a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.
During the meeting, leaders from various schools, administrative departments, and affiliated units presented their reports, summarizing representative work and significant progress in 2025, along with key work for 2026. They deeply analyzed existing problems and difficulties and provided constructive suggestions for the university's work. University leaders commented on the reports, affirming the achievements of the colleges and departments while pointing out current problems, challenges, and directions for improvement.
University leaders Zheng Hairong, Liu Miao, Chen Yunsong, Lu Xiancai, Suo Wenbin, Zhou Zhihua, Jiao Ruihua, Li Bin, Wen Yu, Sun Leqiang, and Jiang Tian, along with key officials from administrative departments, affiliated units, and schools, attended the meeting.
