The Korean-language edition of A History of Modern Chinese Photojournalism: 1840–1919 (6 volumes), authored by Professor Han Congyao of Nanjing University, has recently been officially published and released in South Korea.

According to reports, the work was selected for the "Chinese Academic Translation Project" of National Social Science Fund of China in 2021 and 2022, covering translation into both English and Korean. The English edition has been completed and submitted to Springer Group for publication, and is expected to be released globally in the near future, achieving multi-lingual and wide-ranging scholarly communication.
The Chinese edition of this work has previously received the inaugural Jiangsu Provincial Press and Publication Government Award · Book Prize, the 4th China Excellent Publications Award · Book Prize, and the Second Prize of the 7th Outstanding Achievement Award in Scientific Research in Higher Education Institutions (Humanities and Social Sciences) issued by the Ministry of Education.
Professor Cheng Manli of Peking University, former president of the Chinese Association for History of Journalism and Communication, commented: "This work falls within the category of dynastic periodization historiography, and represents a notable achievement in the history of journalism and communication — one that is both readable and academically rigorous. It not only holds positive significance for expanding the field of journalism and communication history, but also offers important value as 'visual evidence' for the study of modern Chinese intellectual history, cultural history, and the broader history of modern Chinese social development."
