On May 8, the 2026 Nanjing University campus "Suqian Day" event was successfully held. Before the promotional meeting, Tan Zhemin, President of NJU and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) met with Liu Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Suqian Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, along with his delegation, to jointly witness the ceremony of Academician Chen Yong donating precious documents to Suqian.

At the promotional meeting, Liu Hao stated that Suqian is a city "with prospects, vitality, responsibility, and an understanding of talent," and expressed hope that more NJU students would choose to settle down in Suqian and accomplish their goals there. Suqian will welcome all NJU students with the greatest sincerity, the best policies, and the finest platforms, working together to build dreams and create a future.
Lu Xiancai, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC NJU Committee and Vice President of NJU, warmly welcomed and sincerely thanked the leaders and guests from Suqian. He pointed out that NJU has a profound connection and deep friendship with Suqian. Suqian has always been an ideal place for NJU students to start their careers, and he looks forward to using this event as an opportunity to continuously deepen the exchange and cooperation between NJU and Suqian, jointly creating a new situation of win-win development between the university and the city.
Cao Zhi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Suqian Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, introduced the industrial development situation and talent policies of Suqian. Alumni representatives from NJU, Wu Tianyi and Zhuang Wei, shared their experiences. The promotional meeting also included the signing ceremony for the third phase of the San Taishan Talent Business School's Entrepreneur Advanced Training Class and the unveiling ceremony for the Suqian Talent Workstation (Nanjing University).
After the meeting, a recruitment event was held on site. Over 50 key enterprises and institutions participated in the recruitment, including Suqian College, Suqian First People's Hospital, and Yanghe Distillery, collectively offering more than 900 quality positions. Students actively submitted their resumes, creating a lively atmosphere.
