Tan Zhemin warmly welcomed Zhao Rui and his delegation, pointing out that NJU leverages its disciplinary strengths to deeply promote the reform of education and teaching through artificial intelligence, as well as the transformation of scientific research paradigms. The university, based on the goal of becoming "the Unique Nanjing University," is advancing the mutual empowerment of AI and philosophy and social sciences, strengthening top-level design, building a platform matrix, improving mechanism guarantees, and emphasizing diversified innovation. He expressed that NJU has a profound historical connection with the CASS, and that both parties recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement, opening a new chapter in comprehensive collaboration. He looks forward to using this research exchange as an opportunity to further innovate collaboratively and contribute greater strength to the establishment of an autonomous knowledge system in Chinese philosophy and social sciences.
Zhao Rui expressed gratitude for the warm reception from NJU and highly praised the university's educational achievements and research capabilities. He noted that NJU has significant advantages in the fields of philosophy, social sciences, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge technology, particularly highlighting the effective work carried out in recent years in empowering philosophical and social science research with artificial intelligence. He hopes that both sides can further refine the content of strategic cooperation, promoting various collaborative efforts in project joint research, platform co-construction, and talent co-cultivation, thereby contributing wisdom and strength to a new chapter of Chinese modernization.
During the visit, both sides held a discussion and exchange meeting. Chen Yunsong, Deputy Chair of NJU CPC Council, introduced the overall layout and phased achievements of the university's efforts in empowering philosophy and social sciences with artificial intelligence. He stated that NJU adheres to the principle of "serving the needs of the country with what NJU excels in," continuously advancing research on civilization empowered by artificial intelligence through platforms such as the Chinese Civilization Digital Innovation Laboratory and the Data Intelligence and Cross-Innovation Laboratory, and actively exploring new paradigms for the development of the humanities in the digital age.

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on further implementing the strategic cooperation agreement, deepening resource sharing and collaborative innovation, and advancing research in philosophy and social sciences empowered by artificial intelligence.
Zhao Rui and his delegation also visited the National Key Laboratory of New Software Technologies to gain a detailed understanding of the laboratory's latest progress and representative achievements in foundational software research, key technological breakthroughs, and services for national strategic needs.
