Tan Tieniu conducts pre-holiday safety inspection and visits faculty and students staying on campus

As the Spring Festival approaches, Tan Tieniu, Chair of Nanjing University CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, conducted a pre-holiday safety inspection at the Xianlin Campus. He extended New Year wishes to the faculty on duty and students staying on campus.

At the School of Life Sciences, Tan Tieniu entered laboratories and student lounges, warmly interacting with students engaged in experiments and project discussions. He inquired about their holiday plans, advised them to balance work and rest. Upon learning that some students chose to stay on campus for continuous experiments, he reminded them to rest and informed them that the school had prepared a complimentary New Year's Eve feast for those staying, and wished them success in their experiments.

Tan Tieniu also visited the university's Labor Union, the Publicity Department, the Logistics Service Group, the Institute of Science and Technology, the Office of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Student Work Department, and the General Duty Office, where he warmly interacted with the staff on duty. At Dormitory 9 and the Ethnic Restaurant, he inquired in detail about duty arrangements, the number of students staying on campus, and holiday plans. He urged the logistics department to create a festive atmosphere in the dormitories and cafeteria, ensuring safety and food hygiene.
