On November 11, Nanjing University and China Logistics Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Logistics") signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Liu Jingzhen, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Logistics, attended the meeting.

Tan Tieniu expressed admiration for the development achievements China Logistics has made in recent years and appreciated its future development plans. He pointed out that facing the challenges of "two major situations," NJU persists in focusing on high-level scientific and technological innovation, thoroughly implementing the "789 Science and Technology Research Plan," and is committed to contributing greater strength to promoting scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement. Over the past year, NJU and China Logistics have carried out a series of practical cooperation, gradually forming good cooperation mechanisms. Tan Tieniu expressed that NJU and China Logistics have broad cooperation prospects, and hoped that both parties would take this signing as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence technology empowerment, major technological research, human resource sharing, top innovative talent cultivation, achievement transfer and transformation, and think tank construction, pushing university-enterprise cooperation to a new level.

Liu Jingzhen introduced the development history and basic situation of China Logistics. He pointed out that China Logistics is committed to building a world-class comprehensive modern logistics enterprise group with global competitiveness, constructing logistics physical networks and digital networks, and promoting the logistics industry's accelerated development toward intensification, integration, and internationalization. He provided an in-depth explanation of China Logistics' core business formats, resource endowments, and strategic planning. He expressed hope that China Logistics and NJU could continuously strengthen exchanges and cooperation in scientific research innovation, talent co-cultivation and other aspects, working together to make new and greater contributions to serving national strategies, safeguarding national economy and people's livelihood, facilitating social circulation, and promoting high-quality development of the logistics industry.

Lu Yanqing, Vice President of NJU, and Zhong Jichang, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of China Logistics, signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, both parties will conduct in-depth cooperation in three major areas: industry and platform construction, technology research and development and supply chain management, and talent cultivation and exchange. Both parties also signed the "Cooperation Agreement for the Industry-University Joint Research Center on Digital Supply Chain."
