On November 6, Chen Qiuming, Party Secretary of Shenzhen Technology University, led a delegation to Nanjing University. Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the meeting.

Tan Tieniu extended a sincere welcome to Chen Qiuming and his delegation. He introduced the history of NJU's development and pointed out that the university has always adhered to serving national needs, firmly committed to open education, and accelerated the construction of a world-class university with Chinese characteristics. Shenzhen Technology University is rooted in Shenzhen, a fertile ground of reform and innovation, and is committed to building a world-class applied university, full of youthful vitality. He expressed that the two universities pursue mutual goals, and complement each other's advantages in terms of educational philosophy, development goals, and educational characteristics. Conducting practical cooperation aligns with both parties' development needs. He hoped that the two universities could comprehensively deepen exchanges and cooperation in student cultivation, scientific research innovation, platform construction, industry-education integration and other aspects, and jointly contribute greater strength to assist regional development, cultivate top innovative talents, and promote self-reliance and strengthe in science and technology.

Chen Qiuming expressed that NJU has a long history, strong capabilities, and outstanding reputation, making important contributions to the development of China's science and education cause. He introduced the basic situation of Shenzhen Technology University from the aspects of talent cultivation, faculty, scientific research innovation, and industry-academia-research integration. Chen Qiuming pointed out that Shenzhen Technology University focuses on major national needs and industrial development, striving to solve difficulties and pain points that constrain development, and promote industrial development and upgrading. He expressed hope that through this research visit, they could exchange advanced educational development experiences with NJU, carry out comprehensive cooperation in joint student cultivation, university-enterprise collaboration and other aspects, build bridges for promoting basic research toward industrialization, and jointly explore new pathways for deep integration and development of industry-academia-research.

The delegation visited the History Museum of NJU and the National Key Laboratory of Novel Software Technology.
The meeting was hosted by Zhou Zhihua, Vice President of NJU. Responsible persons from relevant departments of both universities attended the meeting.
