On October 20, Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), led a delegation to China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) to discuss strategic cooperation and innovative development between the university and the enterprise. CETC Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager Zhu Peng chaired the symposium.
Tan Tieniu expressed gratitude to CETC for their warm reception on behalf of NJU. He stated that CETC, as a leading central enterprise in the electronic information industry and a national strategic scientific and technological force, has a good long-term cooperation foundation with NJU. He hoped that in the future, both sides could join hands and unite their strengths to clarify focus points, identify leverage points, and complement advantages in joint scientific research, talent exchange and cultivation, platform construction, and mechanism innovation, to further deepen cooperation, expand fields, and improve quality and efficiency, making new and greater contributions to accelerating the achievement of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening, and to the cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation.
Zhu Peng sincerely thanked NJU for its long-term care and support, and briefly introduced CETC's development history and mission. He hoped that in the future, both parties would jointly tackle frontier scientific and technological fields such as intelligent Internet of Things, brain-like computing, and quantum technology, complement each other in professional fields oriented toward major application needs such as industrial software, integrated circuits, chip design, new energy, and new materials, and achieve win-win cooperation through practical measures such as jointly building research platforms, joint talent cultivation, and promoting achievement transformation, taking new steps in high-quality development to jointly promote high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening.
Zheng Hairong, Vice President of NJU and Academician of the CAS, reviewed the history and achievements of cooperation between the university and the enterprise, and looked forward to the two sides continuing to deepen cooperation mechanisms in promoting scientific research innovation and technological breakthroughs, achievement transformation and industrial incubation, talent cultivation and employment recruitment, exploring the joint establishment of university-enterprise joint laboratories and pilot test bases, excellent engineer technology centers and other platforms, working together to accelerate the construction of a strong country in science and technology and vigorously write a new chapter of Chinese modernization.
