On October 16, the talent recruitment and policy promotion working group from Hunan Province visited Nanjing University. Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, met with the working group on Xianlin Campus.
Tan Tieniu welcomed the working group on behalf of NJU. He introduced the working group to NJU's history, educational development, talent cultivation, campus construction, scientific research and innovation, faculty team, and open education. Tan Tieniu pointed out that currently, NJU is deeply promoting the "Forging Ahead Initiative" and accelerating the construction of a world-class university with Chinese characteristics. He expressed hope for further strengthening practical cooperation with Hunan province in talent recruitment, industry-university-research development, and other areas to jointly create new prospects for collaborative development between the university and the region.
Li Chuanrong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, expressed sincere gratitude to NJU for its long-term strong support for Hunan Province's development. He introduced the basic situation of the special recruitment event entitle "Wisdom Converges in Xiangjiang, Talents Gather in Hunan", which aims to promote employment and entrepreneurship among college graduates and advance high-quality talent recruitment in Hunan Province. He hoped that NJU would continue to care about and support the "Wisdom Converges in Xiangjiang, Talents Gather in Hunan" recruitment activities, and looked forward to more NJU students pursuing employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in Hunan Province to achieve their brilliant careers.
Representatives from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as industry-university-research cooperation and exchanged views on specific matters regarding the implementation of the "Wisdom Converges in Xiangjiang, Talents Gather in Hunan" special recruitment event.
