Opening ceremony for 2024 undergraduate cohort

On September 13, Nanjing University held the opening ceremony for the 2024 undergraduate cohort at the Fang Zhaozhou Gymnasium,welcoming nearly 4,000 new students. Tan Tieniu, Chair of the University CPC Council,  and Tan Zhemin, President of NJU delievered welcome speeches. The ceremony was also attended by Lin Pinghua, representative of the Ministry of Education, and was hosted by Lu Xiancai, Vice President of NJU.

The event began with the Nanjing University Flag Guard escorting the national flag into the venue, followed by the singing of the national anthem.

In his address, Tan Zhemin welcomed the new students. He emphasized that NJU stands as a pioneer in the scientific exploration and innovation.
