Organized by the NJU Museum, the exhibition features calligraphy and painting works as well as archival materials by Zhu Rongzhuang and his children Zhu Mingxin and Zhu Mingqing, highlighting the artistic legacy and deep sense of devotion to both family and country passed down through five generations of the Zhu family. A leading figure of the Haipai, Zhu Rongzhuang, together with his children, was widely recognized for outstanding achievements in calligraphy and painting.

Wen Yu noted that the Zhu family shares deep historical ties with NJU. These ties began with the artistic and literary exchanges between modern educator Li Ruiqing and Zhu Rongzhuang, and were later carried forward through interactions with figures such as Lv Fengzi and Xu Beihong, reflecting the convergence of NJU’s humanistic tradition and the artistic spirit of the Haipai. Previously staged in Shanghai and Yixing, the exhibition now at NJU further highlights the more than century-long ties between the Zhu family and the university.

The exhibition will remain on view at the Nanjing Univeristy Galary through April 15.
