I read that the new five year plan consists of about 80000 characters. My main interest is how the environment and how energy systems are developing. The lecture today also elaborated on this. I find it very good that this is becoming more and more important to the country to keep a balance between overall economic development and also protecting natural resources.

I teach a course on artificial intelligence at the Hopkins Nanjing Center, so I would follow closely that is happening in the AI world. China's way of treating AI as an infrastructure, I think, is a very beneficial approach to this, rather than a fragmented system in other countries.

As a scholar from Africa living in China and studying in Jiangsu, I pay attention to China's Two Sessions every year, because through the Two Sessions I can learn a variety of information. They mentioned the need to invest in people, and also noted the importance of deepening opening up. The fact that I am able to come to China to study and live is itself a result of China's opening up to the world.
The international teachers and students in attendance stated that the briefing gave them a clearer understanding of China's development direction and policy trends, further deepened their knowledge of the development opportunities in Jiangsu, and boosted their confidence in working and living in the province. It will further facilitate and promote Jiangsu's international exchanges and cooperation.
