NJU achieves outstanding results at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva

From March 11 to 15, 2026, the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva was held in Geneva, Switzerland. Nanjing University selected seven innovations for on-site display at the exhibition, winning a total of nine awards, including three Gold Medals, three Silver Medals, one Bronze Medal, and two Special Awards.

Gold Medal Projects

The project by Ma Sijia from School of Frontier Science and the team led by Professor Xu Ke from School of Environment provides an efficient, cost-effective, and intelligent solution for wastewater quality risk control. The project also received a Special Award from the Romanian delegation at the award ceremony.

The project by the team led by Professor Zhou Haibo from School of Electronic Science and Engineering can achieve energy savings of over 13% in real-world production environments, delivering significant economic, environmental, and social benefits. It provides key technological support for the green and low-carbon development of data centers.

Silver Medal Projects

The drone designed by the team led by Professor Xie Zhenda from School of Electronic Science and Engineering holds broad application potential in cargo transport, sensing, communications, and other fields.

The project by the team led by Professor Pan Bingcai from School of Environment can enable cost-effective advanced treatment of typical pollutants such as fluoride and phosphorus in water.

The intelligent robotic system designed by the team led by Associate Professor Yin Ran from School of Frontier Science is capable of proactively identifying and eliminating pathogens and pollutants in the air, water, and on object surfaces, offering an efficient solution for health and safety in public spaces.

The International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva was founded in 1973 and is co-organized by the Swiss Federal Government, the Canton of Geneva, the City of Geneva, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). It is one of the longest-running and largest exhibitions of inventions in the world. Since 2018, Nanjing University has participated in the exhibition on multiple consecutive occasions with its scientific and technological innovations, winning awards each time.
